What is the meaning of the different ‘Hotel Notification Status’ values?

The Hotel Notification Status is used in conjunction with the Hotel App. These notifications enable Hotels to pull a report which just shows NEW, CANCELED or AMENDED bookings.

  • When a hotel booking is first made, the Status is set by default to NEW BOOKING.

  • When a hotel confirms bookings in the hotel app, the Status is changed automatically to CONFIRMED BOOKING.

  • If the booking is then amended (either in EventsAir, or by the delegate themselves through an online form) the Status is automatically changed to AMENDED.

  • Once the hotel confirms the booking once more, via the hotel app, it will revert to CONFIRMED BOOKING once more.

  • If the booking is ever cancelled, the status is changed to CANCELATION.

  • Once the hotel confirms this via the hotel app, it will change to CONFIRMED CANCELATION.
