Attendee Panel - Registrations Module

Registrations are typically a part of every conference - however, there may be special circumstances where this is not required. Typically, you want to register attendees so you may:

  • Collect registration fees
  • Categorize attendees appropriately (attendee, speaker, exhibitor, staff, VIP, etc.)
  • Manage the early, regular and late registration process

Remember, you will want to capture information for every person at your conference or event, so they are properly credentialed and managed throughout the event.

This is especially important when you are analyzing the performance of your event once it is complete. One of the most effective ways to analyze a conference is by looking at registrations. You can track registrations by any number of different factors, including:

  • Registrations by type
  • Registrations by date
  • Registrations by region or country

However, there may be circumstances where everyone attending has the same requirements, such as a training class or a sales meeting. In these cases, you may elect to NOT require registration categories, and simply capture their contact details. If you are not sure, it is always safe to include a registration option for your event.

Viewing and Editing Details in the Registration Module

When you view the Registration Module, you will see a recap of all registration details. This recap shows the registration type, payment details, quantity, and whether or not the registration is paid or unpaid.

Details Tab

Clicking on each line from this initial view will display the registration details for that item. Details collected will include:

  • Registration Type
  • Payment Status
  • Adjustment - your staff may change the total amount required for this item by entering an adjustment. This may be either a positive or negative number.
Tip: Generally, you would not use the Adjustment field unless you had a good reason to do so. The amount of the registration fee is normally entered in the Registration Type Setup, not here in the adjustment field.
  • Discount Code (if applied)
  • Discount amount, tax, and payment details
  • Invoice Note - if you enabled this in Financial Setup/Preferences, you will be able to add a attendee-specific note relating to the charge in this field. This note is displayed on the actual generated invoice next to the total amount due.
  • Date of Registration
  • Comment
